Our Family (Literally)

Max is an award-winning composer whose scores and songs can be heard in projects from HBO, PBS, Paramount+, the BBC, and many more. His credits include The Janes (for which he was nominated for a Critics Choice Documentary Award), Mariska Hargita’s Emmy-nominated My Mom Jayne, the Oscar-nominated Mondays at Racine, Emmy-winner Very Semi-Serious, and James Marsh’s The King, which premiered at Cannes. He is also an actor and a songwriter who records under the name CAMPHOR.

For Adaptive Artistry he produces many of the company’s projects, and designs and builds its software.

Regan is a film editor and cinematographer. Her editorial team credits include Velvet Goldmine, The Shipping News, and Someone Like You.

She is also an interdisciplinary artist working across photography, video, sound, and installation, with residencies at the Vermont Studio Center and the School of Visual Arts, a grant from the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism, and exhibitions including interfilm in Berlin, the Center for Photography at Woodstock, and the Griffin Museum of Photography.

For Adaptive Artistry she is often behind the camera, cutting picture, producing, and advising.

Mason is a filmmaker, performing artist, and activist. He directed and shot Against the Grade, the company’s feature documentary, and wrote and directed the short Zoltar Speaks, which received a Silver Key at the 2025 Scholastic CT Regional Art Awards.

His letter on homeschooling was published in the New York Times. He has been a featured speaker at the AERO conference and has performed at a Moth StorySLAM. His debut EP, Long Way from the City, is in progress.

For Adaptive Artistry, he writes and directs new works. He’s currently in pre-production on the narative short “Tell Me About the Birds”, slated for production in early 2027.
