The short version

This website does not run analytics, does not set advertising cookies, and does not track you across other sites. We collect personal information only when you send it to us deliberately — by email, or by joining a mailing list.

What we collect

Nothing, by default. Visiting a page on this site does not create a record tied to you. We have deliberately not installed analytics.

Your email address, if you give it to us. If you write to us, or join a mailing list on one of our sites, we keep your address and any message you send so we can reply and, where you have asked for it, send you the updates you signed up for. We do not sell, rent, or share mailing lists.

Ordinary server logs. Our hosting provider records the usual technical details of a request — IP address, time, page, browser — for security and reliability. These are retained briefly and are not used to build a profile of you.

Who processes data on our behalf

We keep this list short on purpose. It is currently:

• Railway — hosting for this website (United States).
• Cloudflare — DNS, network protection, and email forwarding for our addresses (United States).
• Resend — sending email and storing mailing-list contacts (United States).
• Vimeo — video hosting. Vimeo is contacted only if you press play on a video; nothing is requested from them before that.

Mailing lists

Our lists are confirmed opt-in: after you enter an address we email you a confirmation link, and you are only added if you click it. Every mailing includes an unsubscribe link that works immediately. You can also ask us to remove you by writing to[email protected].

Your rights

Wherever you live, you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will do so. If you are in the EEA or the UK, this is your right of access, rectification, and erasure under the GDPR; our lawful basis for mailing lists is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time. If you are in California, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in the CCPA.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page.
