About — Adaptive Artistry

Adaptive Artistry, LLC is a production studio based in the NYC metro area. We work in two disciplines that turn out to have more in common than they look: film production, and the software that surrounds creative work.

The film side is the older of the two. Our team consists of working artists, composers, writers, and directors. Between us we have scored, shot, written, and cut features and documentaries for HBO, PBS, Paramount+, and the festival circuit. Our own projects start small and personal; music videos, a feature documentary about homeschooled teenagers in New York, a narrative short built around a boardwalk fortune teller. These are mosty made by the same few hands from first frame to final mix.

The software side exists because of needs we discovered in our artistic practices. SŌNEarc came out of two decades of struggling to make a deep film music catalog discoverable and easily licensable. Ecliptical (coming soon) came out of wanting a way to keep the long view in sight without losing track of the urgent things in front of us. All our software projects were built to solve a problem we actually had.

We are small, but effective! No matter what type of idea we take on, every Adaptive Artistry project gets made with passion, attention to detail, and creativity.
